213A Lazy Sunday M'dn H'dle

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Cebuano (GB), trained by M.Halford, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame post race.

J.J.Lambe, trainer of Hot Prospect (GB), reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge was found to be lame post race, a fact which was confirmed by the Turf Club Veterinary Officer.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Idlewild (GB), trained by Mark Michael McNiff, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

M.Halford, trainer of Cebuano (GB), reported to the Office of the Governing Bodies on Monday 11th August that in his opinion his charge may not have stayed on the soft ground conditions.

D.J. Condon, rider of Luddsdenene, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung violently left handed in the closing stages.

213E Sunday Fun Club M'dn H'dle

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Tom's Article, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis.

D.J. Condon, rider of Tom's Article, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was unable to handle the soft ground conditions.

213F Sound Of Silver H'cap H'dle

The Stewards interviewed B.T. O'Connell, rider of Couleur De La Loi, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3.(e), in that he had used his whip other that down the shoulder or the hind quarters and Regulation 10.3.(g), in that he had used his whip with his arm above shoulder height. Having taken his previous record into account, they suspended him for three racedays and ordered that he attend R.A.C.E for one days tuition on the correct use of the whip.
