C.T. Keane, rider of Sally Gap trained by T.G.McCourt, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung throughout.

207D Kildare Post M'dn

The Stewards received a report from the Turf Club Veterinary Officer regarding, J.A.Stack, trainer, of Hark (GB), concerning the fact that the vaccinations contained in the passport for this horse were incorrect for the second successive occasion. In accordance with Rule 90 the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Hark (GB) and fined the trainer €350.

N.G. McCullagh, rider of Shinko Princess, trained by C.P.Donoghue, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount had to check at halfway.

The Stewards informed V.Clifford, trainer that Anakar, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

O.J. Orr, rider of Voge, trained by Edward Lynam, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his saddle slipped and his mount started bucking before he was unseated.

The Stewards received a request from Thomas P.O'Connor, trainer of Intense Starlet, to allow the nominated rider C.J. McGovern, carry three pounds overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he declared a possible two pounds overweight at declaration and could have done that weight but with his minimum riding weight set at 8-6, he was obliged to carry three pounds overweight. Evidence was also heard from the trainer concerned who stated that with thirty runners he had difficulty securing a rider to ride at such a light weight. He added that in the circumstances he was happy to allow the rider carry three pounds overweight. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards, in view of the exceptional circumstances,allowed the rider carry 3lbs overweight, in accordance with Rule 198v(ii)b, but advised him to have his minimum riding weight reassessed by the Turf Club Medical Officer.

The Stewards interviewed J.F. Levins, trainer of Dont Have It Then (GB), having failed to fit a hood to his charge prior to entering the parade ring. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards reminded the trainer of his future responsibilities in this regard.

D P Coakley, trainer of Boxer Dunford, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge pulled a shoe in running and was sore post race.

Thomas P.O'Connor, trainer of Intense Starlet, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge was showing signs of being in season post race.

207F Luke & Nellie Comer Memorial H'cap

A.J. Breslin, rider of Polly Douglas, trained by Kieran P. Cotter, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was repeatedly denied a clear run.

207G Curragh Training Grounds Apprentice Hcap

The Stewards interviewed L.T. McAteer, rider of McGuigan, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, in the presence of Ger Flynn, representing J.S.Bolger, trainer, who accompanied the rider in the Stewards room. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(f), in that he used the whip with excessive force and frequency and having considered his clean record, suspended him for one race day.

The Stewards interviewed O.J. Orr, rider of Khabaray, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(f), in that he used the whip with excessive force and having considered his clean record, suspended him for one race day.

N.M. Crosse, rider of Asian Wing trained by John James Feane, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was slowly away.
