The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

D.P. Davis rode William Ashford (reserve), trained by J.C.Hayden (Race 8).
N.M. Crosse rode Approbare (reserve), trained by T.M. Walsh (Race 8).
D. O'Brien replaced W.M. Lordan on Reckless Gold, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien (Race 5)(Stewards' Permission, intended mount a non runner)

238A Irish Stallion Farms EBF M'dn

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Breaking Story, ridden by R.C. Colgan, Circus Maximus, ridden by R.L. Moore, and Playa Del Puente, ridden by R. Coakley, where it appeared Circus Maximus ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the incident was caused by accidental interference and took no further action.

238B Gabriel Curran Memorial M'dn

The Stewards fined Philip M. Byrne, trainer, €65 for failing to fit the declared equipment to Madamoiselle, prior to entering the parade ring.

238C Debutante Stakes

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Viadera (GB), trained by G.M.Lyons, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

238D Galileo Irish EBF Futurity Stakes

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Klute, trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame on its left foreleg.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Guaranteed, trained by J. S. Bolger, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

238E Manguard Plus Royal Whip Stakes

D. O'Brien, rider of Reckless Gold trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lost its action coming down the hill and pulled up.

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the final 200 yards involving Deauville, ridden by R.L. Moore, and Success Days, ridden by W.J. Lee, where it appeared Success Days ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. W.J. Lee stated that the interference he received was marginal and he took back as a precaution as his horse had given best at the time. R.L. Moore stated that he felt his mount cocked his ears around the 150 yard mark at photographers beyond the line which may have cost him the race.Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the interference was caused by accidental interference and took no further action.

The Stewards interviewed C. O'Donoghue, rider of Beautiful Morning (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg. 10 3. (e) and having considered his record suspended him for one race day.

The Stewards interviewed Caroline Norris and Pat Healy, racing photographers following evidence given at a previous riding enquiry where a rider stated that he felt his mount cocked his ears at photographers which in his opinion may have cost him the race. Evidence was heard from the photographers concerned and a recording of the incident was viewed. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards advised the photographers to take more care in where they position themselves in future.

238F Irish EBF Supporting ICW (Fillies) H'cap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Dawn Hoofer, trained by J. S. Bolger, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

R.P. Downey, rider of Jeremys Joy trained by Noel C. Kelly, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount missed the break.

238G Tipperary Crystal 'Rose' Ladies H'cap

The Stewards requested a report from Thomas Mullins, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Emily Square, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that his charge possibly appreciated today's going compared with its most recent run, which may account for the return to form. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

The Stewards interviewed Ms L. O'Neill, rider of Miro, concerning her use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg. 10. 4 by using her whip without giving her mount time to respond and having taken her record into account suspended her for five race days.

Sarah Dawson, trainer of Magic Sea, reported to the Office of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board that her charge was scoped following this race and found to be post race normal.

238H Kildare Minor Ladies All Ire Champs Hcp

G.P. Halpin, rider of Silk Cravat (GB), trained by John Geoghegan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount lost both front shoes in this race.

S.B. Kirrane, rider of Baby Power, trained by Garry Caldwell, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung badly left in the final two furlongs.

The Stewards fined Denis Gerard Hogan, trainer, €65 for failing to fit the declared equipment to Caesar's Comet, prior to entering the parade ring.
