268C Renaissance Stakes

P.J. Smullen, rider of Jane's Memory, trained by Rae Guest (in GB), reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran flat.

The Stewards interviewed T. Eaves, rider of Goken (FR), concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g), in that he used the whip with his arm above shoulder height and having considered his record, cautioned him concerning his future responsibilities in this regard.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Jane's Memory, trained by Rae Guest (in GB), at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

268E Manguard Plus Amateur Derby (QR) H'cap

The Stewards received a request from John C. McConnell, trainer of Why Me (GB), to allow the nominated rider Mr M.J. Stenson, carry two pounds overweight, which had not been declared. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards allowed the request but found the rider to be in breach of Rule 198(vii) and having considered his clean record, fined him €150.

Mr D. Sinnott, rider of Propriano (USA), trained by D. K. Weld, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was running freely in the early stages when he clipped heels and was unseated.

The Stewards received a request from Adrian McGuinness, trainer of Pivot Bridge (GB), to allow the nominated rider Mr L.J. McGuinness, carry three pounds overweight, two of which had been declared. The stewards allowed the request and subsequently interviewed the rider. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Rule 198(vii) and having considered his clean record in this regard, fined him €150.

268F Mongey Communications Joe McGrath H'cap

R.P. Downey, rider of Captain Power, trained by Edward Lynam, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount got upset in the stalls.

K.J. Leonard, rider of Sors, trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount got upset in the stalls.

268G Sycamore Lodge Loughbrown Stakes

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Jennies Jewel, trained by Jarlath P.Fahey, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

Jarlath P.Fahey, trainer of Jennies Jewel, reported to the Office of the Governing Bodies on Monday 26th September that his charge was found to be in season post race.

268H Dublin Coach H'cap

The Stewards interviewed N.G. McCullagh, rider of Jacobs Well, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(f), in that he used the whip with excessive frequency and having considered his clean record, cautioned him concerning his future responsibilities in this regard.
