The Stewards fined the following trainers in respect of their non-runners:-

P.D. Deegan, trainer of English Deer (ground) - €200 and (late withdrawal) - €200.
A.P.O'Brien, trainer of Table Rock (ground) - €200 and (late withdrawal) - €200.

055A Tally Ho Stud EBF M'dn

Charles O'Brien, trainer of Master Planner, reported to the Office of the Governing Bodies on Tuesday 25th March that his charge lost a shoe in running.

055B Elusive Pimpernel M'dn

W.J. Lee, rider of Love The Feeling, trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount bunny-hopped out of stalls, jinked right and unseated.

The Stewards fined John Joseph Murphy €50 for breach of Rule 194 (ii) (a) by failing to declare to Horse Racing Ireland a distinguishing cap for the owner's colours on Wood Violet in this race.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Rousayan, trained by D. K. Weld, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

055C Trinity Racing Society H'cap

K.J. Manning, rider of Sun On The Run, trained by J. S. Bolger, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran short of room in the closing stages.

055D Lodge Park Stud EBF Park Express Stakes

The Stewards interviewed J.P. Spencer, rider of Achnaha, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found J. P. Spencer in breach of Regulation 10 3. (g) by using the whip with his arm above shoulder height and having taken his record into account the Stewards severely cautioned him.

M.C. Hussey, rider of Diesel Ten, trained by Patrick O.Brady, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount met with accidental interference on leaving the stalls which resulted with him being unseated.

T.P. Madden, rider of Beacon Lodge, trained by T. Stack, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount veered sharply right on leaving stalls.

The Stewards received a report from Mr Ion Hamilton, Turf Club Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that B.P. Dawson, rider of Canary Row, weighed in at 1.8 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that he had drank some water at the start and this may have accounted for the extra weight on weighing-in. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that B.P. Dawson was in breach of Rule 231 and they therefore suspended him for one race day.
