229A Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dn

C.D. Hayes, rider of Could Should Would, trained by A. Oliver, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount met with interference on leaving stalls.

P.J. Smullen, rider of Interlacing (GB), trained by D. K. Weld, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran very keen and awkwardly in a steadily run race.

229B Irish Stallion Farms EBF M'dn

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Laharde (GB), trained by David Marnane, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

Ms. Sheila Lavery, trainer of Romiac, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that her charge scoped wrong post race.

229C Renaissance Stakes

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Maarek (GB), trained by Miss Evanna McCutcheon, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount reared on leaving stalls.

The Stewards interviewed F.M. Berry, rider of Hamza, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that F.M. Berry was in breach of Regulation 10. 4. by failing to give his mount time to respond and cautioned him, having taken his previous record into account.

229D Gay And Kathleen Byrne Celebrating H'cap

The Stewards enquired into an incident approximately two and a half furlongs from the finish involving Beau Satchel (GB), ridden by J.P. O'Brien, Longton (GB), ridden by D.P. McDonogh and Basilica (GB), ridden by L.F. Roche, where it appeared Beau Satchel (GB) was forced to check for a number of strides. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards deemed the incident to be accidental in nature and took no further action.

The Stewards interviewed R.P. Whelan, rider of Focussed, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that R.P. Whelan was in breach of Regulation 10 3(f) by using his whip with excessive frequency and having taken his record in this regard into account suspended him for two race days.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Shalamzar (FR), trained by A.J.Martin, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
