233A At The Races Nursery H'cap

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Anna May Wong (GB), trained by A. Oliver, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

233B Irish Stallion Farms EBF M'dn

Anastasia O'Brien, rider of Ensign (GB), trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that her mount met with slight interference in the closing stages when delivering a challenge.

S. Foley, rider of Liberatio, trained by M.Halford, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount met with slight interference in the closing stages and checked momentarily.

233E Breast Cancer Research Debutante Stakes

The Stewards interviewed J.A. Heffernan, rider of Rhododendron, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that J.A. Heffernan was in breach of R10(3)(f) by using his whip with excessive force and also R10(4) by failing to give his mount time to respond to the whip. They, therefore, suspended him for 1 raceday having taken his previous record into consideration.

233H Breast Cancer Research M'dn

The Stewards interviewed N.P. Madden, rider of Patricks Boy, concerning his use of the whip after the turn into the straight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that N.P. Madden was in breach of R10(3)(b) by the unnecessary use of the whip after his chance of winning or being placed was clearly gone. The Stewards cautioned N.P. Madden having taken his clean previous record into consideration.
