The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Sarah Dawson, trainer of Reinas Queen (Late withdrawal) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

P.J. Jones rode Asian Wing, trained by John James Feane (Race 6) (Stewards Permission)(see enquiry)

226C Breast Cancer Research Debutante Stakes

C.T. Keane, rider of Black Sails (GB) trained by G.M. Lyons, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran very keen from the start.

226E Qatar Airways Royal Whip Stakes

The Stewards requested a report from D.K. Weld, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Shamreen, placed first, as compared with its most recent form. The trainer reported that his yard appeared to be under a cloud for some time, but have returned to form of late and felt this had brought about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

226F Derek O'Sullivan Memorial App'tice H'cap

The Stewards interviewed John James Feane, trainer, concerning his failure to nominate a rider before the designated time for Asian Wing. Evidence was heard from the trainer, who explained the circumstances surrounding his failure and requested permission for apprentice rider P.J. Jones to ride his charge. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards allowed the request, but found the trainer to be in breach of Rule 195 and cautioned him concerning his future responsibilities in this regard.

The Stewards fined R.P. McNamara, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Simafar, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined In Our Blood, trained by Miss Natalia Lupini, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

D.M. Redmond, rider of In Our Blood trained by Miss Natalia Lupini, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

The Stewards enquired into an incident involving Dazzle The Duel, ridden by N.M. Crosse and Bo Bridget, ridden by A.J. Breslin. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned in the presence of H. Rodgers, trainer, representing W. McCreery, trainer and master of N.M. Crosse. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that N.M. Crosse was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his record, suspended him for three racedays.

John James Feane, trainer of Asian Wing, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge was slowly away when the stalls opened.

226G Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) H'cap

The Stewards informed Michael Mulvany, trainer that Dew Line, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

C.D. Hayes, rider of Byron Beauty trained by H.Rogers, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lost its action leaving the stalls.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Byron Beauty, trained by H.Rogers, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis.

226H Breast Cancer Research H'cap

The Stewards requested a report from Donal Kinsella, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Handsome Maverick, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Aidan Wall, authorised representative of the trainer, reported that his charge was slowly away on his previous run. He added that the horse broke well today and staying on well in the softer ground conditions. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.
