The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Edward Lynam, trainer of Fort Del Oro (declared in error) - €750

The Stewards enquired into an incident after approximately 2f involving Perfect Pasture (GB), ridden by P. Mulrennan, Captain Cullen, ridden by K.J. Manning, Master Speaker, ridden by C. O'Donoghue, Kibaar (GB), ridden by T. Eaves, and Peticoatgovernment, ridden by W.M. Lordan, where it appeared Captain Cullen suffered interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that P.Mulrennan was in breach of Rule 214, in that he rode carelessly and having considered his clean record, suspended him for one race day.

The Stewards requested a report from Michael Dods (in GB), trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Mecca's Angel, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that his charge disappointed on her last start at Ascot but subsequently was showing signs of being in season. He added that today's slightly better ground helped his charge return to form. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

Edward Lynam, trainer of Sole Power (GB), reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge lost a shoe in running.

188F Darley Irish Oaks

The Stewards requested a report from A.P.O'Brien, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Seventh Heaven, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that his charge may not have handled the undulations of the track at Epsom and the return to a more galloping track allowed the filly use her long stride and consequently return to form. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

Andrea Atzeni, rider of Ajman Princess, trained by Roger Varian (in GB), reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount never travelled.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Even Song, trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

R.L. Moore, rider of De Coronado (USA), trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung badly in the straight.
