The Stewards fined the following trainers in respect of their non-runners:-

T.G.McCourt, trainer of Lady Savanah (late withdrawal) - €200
A.J.Martin, trainer of Tudor City (late withdrawal) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

K. J. Manning replaced R.P. Cleary on New Treasure, trained by J. S. Bolger (Race 3)(Stewards permission)

288B Jebel Ali Racecourse Anglesey Stakes

S. Foley, rider of Giuliana (GER) trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right under pressure.

288C Staffordstown Stud Stakes

W.J. Lee, rider of Fantasy Lady trained by P. Twomey, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount rolled right inside the final furlong.

288E Paddy Power Irish Cesarewitch

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Run For Mary, trained by C.Byrnes, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr. H. T. Hynes, regarding the failure of J.M. Sheridan, rider of Royal Illusion, placed sixth, to weigh in after this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards found J. M. Sheridan in breach of Rule 227(i) and having considered J. M. Sheridan's record in this regard the Stewards suspended J. M. Sheridan for two racedays and ordered that he forfeit his riding fee. Furthermore, pursuant to Rule 230(ii) the Stewards disqualified Royal Illusion.

Amended result now reads:
Cape Gentleman placed first.
Aircraft Carrier placed second.
De Name Escapes Me placed third.
Brazos placed fourth.
Kings Vow placed fifth.

L.T. McAteer, rider of Sneaky Getaway trained by Emmet Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly left.

288G extra.ie Apprentice H'cap

S.T. McCullagh, rider of Eastern Racer trained by Sean Byrne, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right.

288H Curragh Where Champions Are Made M'dn

S. Foley, rider of Cooper's Hawk trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount reared up leaving the stalls.
