175A Mallow M'dn H'dle

The Stewards fined Denis Leahy, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Good Man Vinnie, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

D.N. Russell, rider of Indrik trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount slipped jumping the first hurdle and was hesitant thereafter.

J.S. McGarvey, rider of Best Kept Secret trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lost his action and was pulled up.

M.J. Bolger, rider of Boom Box trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran too free.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Roachdale House trained by Paul W. Flynn had blood in his nostrils post race.

The Stewards fined Patrick Neville, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of D'Pinesflyer, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

175C Mallow Print H'cap H'dle

The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr .P.W.Murtagh, that Mr T. O'Connor, rider of Baccalaureate (FR), attempted to weigh out with a modified back protector. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Rule 198(v) and having considered his record in this regard, suspended him for seven race days.

The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr.P.W.Murtagh, that G.B. Noonan, rider of Athdara Steeler,placed sixth, failed to weigh in. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards disqualified Athdara Steeler and amended the judges placings accordingly. Furthermore the rider was found to be in breach of Rule 230, having failed to weigh in and having considered his clean record,cautioned him concerning his future responsibilities in this regard.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Kalanisi King, trained by J.R. Barry, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be coughing and making an abnormal respiratory noise post race.

The Stewards fined D.J.Barry, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Premier King, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

B. Hayes, rider of Static Jack trained by Miss Ellmarie Holden, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Static Jack, trained by Miss Ellmarie Holden, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame on his left hind limb post race.

175G Cork Racecourse Festival INH Flat Race

The Stewards fined Thomas Coyle, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Martha Gail, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

Mr L.J. McGuinness, rider of Definite Winner, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount accidentally clipped heals and stumbled before the turn into the straight
