066A Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dn

The Stewards enquired into an incident approximately two furlongs from home involving Jealous Beauty, ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed second and Lilliard, ridden by S. Foley, placed third. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action.

066B Cork Racecourse H'cap

The Stewards requested a report from S.M.Duffy, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Roryslittlesister, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that his charge was not letting herself down at Dundalk and the combination of today's softer ground and the first time tongue tie, helped his charge show the improved form.Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

066C Cork Stakes

The Stewards enquired into possible interference approximately two furlong from home involving An Saighdiur, ridden by W.J. Lee, placed third, Great Minds, ridden by W.M. Lordan, placed first and Aetna (GB), ridden by J.P. O'Brien, placed fifth. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the judges placings and took no further action.

066D Glenview&Rathbarry Studs(M)Hunters S'ch

The Stewards interviewed Mr B.J. Foley, rider of Bennys Girl, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g), in that he used the whip with his arm above shoulder height and having considered his record, cautioned him concerning his future responsibilities in this regard.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Eala Beag trained by L.J.Archdeacon was lame post race.

The Stewards fined Michael Winters, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Theatre Princess, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

066E Coolmore N.H. Sires M'dn Hunters S'chase

Mr P. Power, rider of Red Sunset, trained by Kieran Purcell, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount pulled up lame.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Red Sunset trained by Kieran Purcell was lame post race.

066G Pegus Horse Feed P-To-P Flat Race

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Sid Seven trained by S. Curling was lame post race.

066H Cork & Waterford(Mares)P-To-P Flat Race

The Stewards interviewed, Mary Tyner, authorised representative and Ms. Nicola O'Connor, Turf Club Veterinary Officer, concerning an issue with the passport of Joint Reaction, trained by Robert Tyner.
Evidence was heard from Ms.O'Connor who stated that upon inspection of the passport in question she noticed that there was no veterinary stamp present where the surgeon signs to endorse the vaccinations. She also added that having compared the signature with a number of the trainer's other passports,they appeared to differ,even though the same surgeon signed all passports. She also confirmed that she was able to positively identify Joint Reaction.
Evidence was also heard from Mary Tyner.
Having considered the evidence the Stewards allowed Joint Reaction to run but referred the matter to the Turf Club, C.E.O. for further investigation.
Mr.P.Barry, Acting Steward, did not act at this enquiry.

The Stewards interviewed Mr A. McCurtin, rider of Marygale Bridge, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(f), in that he used the whip with excessive frequency and having considered his record, suspended him for four race days.
Mr.P. Barry, Acting Steward, did not act at this enquiry.

The Stewards interviewed Mr K.E. Power, rider of Midnight Theatre, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(f), in that he used the whip with excessive frequency and having considered his record,suspended him for two race days .
Mr.P.Barry, Acting Steward, did not act at this enquiry.
