079A Racing Home For Easter M'dn H'dle

J.P. O'Sullivan, rider of Big Tommy trained by Miss Elizabeth Doyle, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped poorly, never travelled and was pulled up.

The Stewards interviewed Mr N. McParlan, rider of Connard, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr N. McParlan was in breach of R10(3)(h) by using his whip with his arm above shoulder height. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned Mr N. McParlan.

C.D. Maxwell, rider of Honourbeforeglory trained by Eoin Griffin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a respiratory noise and was pulled up.

P.J. Vaughan, rider of Hourie trained by John W. Nicholson, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was pulled up having felt that he had gone lame but appeared to be sound when trotting soon after.

079B Race & Taste Festival H'cap H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Buttons And Bows, trained by Patrick J.Flynn, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

079C Hothouse Flowers 14th June H'cap S'chase

L.P. Gilligan, rider of Crazyheart trained by Paul Nolan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his stirrup broke at the fourth last fence.

The Stewards interviewed L.P. Gilligan, rider of Crazyheart, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that L.P. Gilligan was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned L.P. Gilligan.

079D Glenview&Rathbarry Studs(M)Hunters S'ch

Under the provisions of Rule 90, the Stewards allowed Moll Carty's Mare, trained by Turlough O'Connor, to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the error identified in the certification of vaccinations would be corrected in accordance with Rule 91 within the timeframe specified.

Mr D.L. Queally, rider of Maifitz's Madonna trained by Gerard Kelleher, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount pulled up injured.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Maifitz's Madonna, trained by Gerard Kelleher, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame post race.

079E Coolmore N.H. Sires M'dn Hunters S'chase

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Myrons trained by P.M.J.Doyle was found to have blood on both nostrils as a result of exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage.

Mr T. Hamilton, rider of New Earth trained by Michael G. Kennedy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was pulled up having sustained an injury.

079H Pegus Horse Feed P-To-P Flat Race

The Stewards interviewed Mr M.J. Scallan, rider of Costalotmore, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr M.J. Scallan was in breach of R10(3)(i) by failing to give his mount time to respond to the whip and R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended Mr M.J. Scallan for 1 raceday.
