The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

081B Glenview&Rathbarry Studs(M)Hunters S'ch

The Stewards interviewed Mr C.W. Fennessy, rider of Pops Well, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(f), in that he used the whip with excessive frequency and having considered his record, suspended him for one race day.

The Stewards interviewed Mr C.J. Sweeney, rider of Chestnut Friar, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(f), in that he used the whip with excessive frequency, and having considered his record, suspended him for two race days.

M.M.Lynch, trainer of Turbinia, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge was found to have blood in a nostril but scoped normally post race.

081C Fegentri World C'ship (QR) H'cap H'dle

The Stewards fined Eugene M. O'Sullivan, trainer, €130 for lodging a passport in respect of A Decent Excuse, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

081D Coolmore N.H. Sires M'dn Hunters S'chase

The Stewards interviewed Mr E.P.O'Brien, rider of Lanespark, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(f), in that he used the whip with excessive frequency and having considered his record, suspended him for two race day.

The Stewards interviewed Mr J.J. King, rider of Winter Magic, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(f), in that he used the whip with excessive frequency and having considered his record, suspended him for five race days.

081G Jack Tyner Memorial Hunters S'chase

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Nevskij, trained by Paul O'Flynn, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have burst blood vessells in running.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Mossey Joe, at the request of trainer, E. Bolger, and reported the animal to have a respiratory tract infection post race.

081H Cork & Waterford(Mares)P-To-P Flat Race

The Stewards interviewed Miss J.M. Mangan, rider of Jenmarie, concerning her use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(f), in that she used the whip with excessive frequency and having considered her record, suspended her for one race day.

The Stewards interviewed Mr D. Murphy, rider of Give Her Bach, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards wee of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(b), in that he continued to use the whip when his chance had gone and having considered his record, suspended him for two race days.
