The following trainer was fined €200 for the non-notification of a Veterinary Certificate in accordance with the provision of Rule 194(v) (vi):

Terence O'Brien for Knockrea at Cork 20th November 2016.

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

D.Myler rode Cahirconree (reserve), trained by Seamus Neville (Race 5)

D.E. Splaine, rider of Veneziano Springs (FR), trained by Terence O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran freely and green in the early stages before jumping poorly and tiring in the straight.

The Stewards fined Gordon Elliott, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Chirico Vallis (FR), in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

Ms. Sheila Lavery, trainer of Mandamus, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that her charge was coughing post race.

324B I.N.H. Stallion Owners EBF M'dn H'dle

P.T. Enright, rider of Spare Brakes, trained by Robert Tyner, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was hampered twice by fallers.

I.J. McCarthy, rider of Pixie Lane trained by Colin Bowe, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got a kick at the start,was subsequently examined by the veterinary surgeon and passed fit to run.

The Stewards interviewed K.C. Sexton, rider of Emcon, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(f), in that he used the whip with excessive frequency and having considered his record, suspended him for two race days.

324E I.N.H. Stallion Owners EBF Beg. S'chase

D.E. Splaine, rider of Bobbythegangster trained by Donald Cashman, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a respiratory noise in running and was pulled up.

A. Ring, rider of Catalaunian Fields trained by M.F.Morris, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got the reins caught in his legs and was pulled up.

J.J. Slevin, rider of Golden Plan trained by Mark Fahey, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount burst blood vessels in running.

A.J. McNamara, trainer of Stolberg, reported to the Office of the Governing Bodies that his charge was found to have a respiratory infection post race.

324F Newmarket Motors Volkswagen H'cap S'chas

The Stewards interviewed M.P. Walsh, rider of Riviera Sun, concerning his use of the whip after this race where he appeared to strike the horse down the shoulder. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Rule 214 in that he rode improperly and having considered his clean record, severely cautioned him concerning his future responsibilities in this regard.
