The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

M.T. O'Donovan, trainer of Oscar Chimes (Late withdrawal) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

P.T. Enright replaced S.W. Flanagan on Cheiliuradh, trained by David Harry Kelly (Race 2)(Injured)
K. M. Donoghue replaced S.W. Flanagan on Positive Approach, trained by John J. Walsh (Race 3)(Injured)
P. T. Enright replaced S.W. Flanagan on Padraig's Joy, trained by David Harry Kelly (Race 4)(Injured)
S. J. Gray replaced S.W. Flanagan on Clar Na Mionn, trained by V. T. O'Brien (Race 5)(Injured)
C. D. Maxwell replaced S.W. Flanagan on Cast No Shadow, trained by Eoghan O'Grady (Race 6)(Injured)

304A Paddy Power Betting Shops M'dn Hdle

N.P. Madden, rider of Nick Brody, trained by C.Byrnes, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung badly left handed throughout.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Nick Brody, trained by C.Byrnes, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be coughing post race with evidence of kick back around the nostrils.

304B Paddy Power Acca Insurance EBF Nov. Hdle

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Altiepix (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.

304C Paddy Power Best In Value EBF M'dn H'dle

The Stewards received a report from Mr. P.L. Malone, Turf Club Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that K.M. Donoghue, rider of Positive Approach, weighed in at 1.7 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that this was the case. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that rider was in breach of Rule 231 and having considered his excellent record in this regard, they severely cautioned him.

304E Paddy Power Cork Grand Nat.H'cap S'chase

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined King Leon, trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be both distressed and blowing hard post race and to have lost a shoe on the right fore causing tenderness.

304F Paddy Power Buttevant Shop H'cap H'dle

The Stewards interviewed Mr W.T. Cronin, rider of Notification, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3.(g) in that he had used his whip with the arm above shoulder height. Having considered his record, the Stewards suspended him for two race days and ordered that he attend R.A.C.E for one days tuition on the correct use of the whip.

J. Mulvihill, rider of The Mad Well trained by Edmond Daniel Linehan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount gurgled from the back straight.

C.D. Maxwell, rider of Cast No Shadow trained by Eoghan O'Grady, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped very quickly.

304G Weatherbys GSB (M) (P-A) INH Flat Race

The Stewards interviewed Miss E.M. Nagle, rider, who appeared to stop riding before the winning post which may have caused her to loose out on a better placing. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards cautioned the rider concerning her responsibilities to obtain a better placing and advised that she obtain a better level of fitness.
