McNamara, stated that his instructions were to drop his mount in and get her to settle, as she can be keen and consequently was wearing a hood today. He stated that in hind sight he would have done things differently and ridden his mount closer to the pace as he felt that the race had gotten away from him down the back and his mount then stayed on strongly. Donal Coffey, stated that he was satisfied with the ride that his charge had received. Donal Coffey was accompanied by Ms. Paula Coffey. The Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that Family Business was post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis. The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Ms. Avena O'Keeffe, that Adam Williams, rider of Wild Desire, had presented himself to weigh out at four pounds in excess of his declared two pounds overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that this was the case. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the rider was in breach of rule 195 and rule 198 and having considered Adam Williams record in this regard the Stewards fined him €150 on this occasion.
