C. O'Donoghue, rider of Escapability trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that in his opinion the track was unraceable.

The Stewards interviewed Mr. T. V. O'Connell, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Course, following a report from C.D. O'Donoghue, rider, that in his opinion today's track was unraceable. Evidence was heard from Mr. T.V. O'Connell, who stated that in his opinion the ground is consistently heavy and that racing could proceed. Having considered both opinions, the Stewards were satisfied to allow racing to proceed.

M.Halford and A. McGuinness, trainers, requested an interview with the stewards to express their concerns with the ground conditions. Both trainers were informed that the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Course had satisfied the Stewards that today's ground is raceable. Additionally, the Stewards reminded M. Halford that he had the opportunity to withdraw his charge earlier if he had concerns with ground conditions.

C.P. Hoban, rider of Cinnabar Reds trained by John Gerard Fitzgerald, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled on the ground.

Following a request from Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Starter, Mr. L. Wyer, the Stewards granted permission for a flag start in this race.

The Stewards interviewed G.P. Brouder, rider,following a report from the clerk of scales, Mr. L. Walsh, to the effect that G.P. Brouder had attempted to weigh out for this race without a crotch strap fitted to his body protector. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that G.P. Brouder was in breach of Rule 198 (v) and Regulation 10, and having considered his previous record in this regard suspended him for 7 racedays.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Our Anniversary (FR) trained by Mrs D.A.Love pulled its right fore shoe in this race.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Theos Well (GB) trained by Michael Winters was found to have had blood on the nose as a result of exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage post race.

S. Foley, rider of Taras Way trained by P.J.F. Murphy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount struggled on the ground.
