The Stewards fined the following trainers in respect of their non-runners:-

J.F. Levins, trainer of Hasselnott (GB) (change in going) - €200.
J.F. Levins, trainer of Dont Have It Then (GB) (change in going) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

P.J. Smullen rode Cristofano Allori (reserve), trained by D. K. Weld (Race 7)
N.M. Grosse rode Prince Jock (USA) (reserve), trained by Albert Moriarty (Race 6)
D.W. O'Connor rode No Approval (reserve), trained by P.J.F. Murphy (Race 6)

289A Coolmore Ruler Of The World M'dn

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Maze Runner, trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

289B Ingredient Solutions Rickie Healy H'cap

G.P. Halpin, rider of No Education (GB) trained by John James Feane, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran keen early on and tired quickly in the closing stages after passing tired horses.

S.P. Davis, rider of Beach Bar trained by Richard John O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran free.

289C Savills Supp Rickie Healy Appeal App Hcp

The Stewards interviewed G.P. Brouder, rider of Apache Gold, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that G.P. Brouder was in breach of Regulation 10.4, in that he had failed to give his mount sufficient time to respond. Having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards cautioned him.

S.P. Davis, rider of Templemary Boy trained by Paul W. Flynn, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was slowly away when the stalls opened.

The Stewards enquired into an incident on the way to the start, where Lunastar ridden by S.P. Davis appeared to be struck once by the rider with his whip. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that this was the case, but outlined the difficulties he had with the filly and apologised for his action. Having viewed a recording of the incident and considered all the evidence, the Stewards found that the S.P. Davis was in breach of Rule 272 in that his actions were prejudicial to the good reputation of horse racing. Having considered his previous good record and his inexperience, the Stewards severely cautioned him.

289D Navigation Stakes

The Stewards enquired into an incident about a furlong after the stalls opened, involving Reckless Gold, ridden by P.J. Smullen and Spanish Tenor, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, where it appeared Spanish Tenor suffered interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that P.J. Smullen was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly. Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended him for 1 raceday.

289F Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) H'cap

R.P. Whelan, rider of Focus On Heaven, trained by J. S. Bolger, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount may not have appreciated the longer trip.

289G Corporate HR Ireland Rickie Healy M'dn

Paul J Jones, rider of Where's My Warrior trained by F.J. Lacy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his saddle slipped shortly after the stalls opened.
