J.S. McGarvey replaced K.J. Brouder on Sullane Hill, trained by P.C.O'Connor (Race 6)(injured)

104A Summer BBQ Evenings M'dn H'dle

At the request of the Stewards, E. O'Connell, rider of Nibiru, trained by A.J.Martin, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount jumped very big and careful and lost his chance of winning by missing the third last.

At the request of the Stewards, R.P. Treacy, rider of Tomeric (FR), trained by E. McNamara, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount gave a gasp down the back, gave a heave at the final bend after which he gave his mount a chance to fill up before running on again in the closing stages.

L.P. Gilligan, rider of Messerati Kid trained by Paul W. Flynn, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount burst.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Messerati Kid, trained by Paul W. Flynn, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have blood at the nose following exercised induced pulmonary haemorrhage.

The Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Dollar Value (USA), ridden by C.D. Maxwell, and trained by T.G.McCourt. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. C.D. Maxwell, stated that his mount was bred for the flat and with this in mind, his instructions were to settle his mount early on and ride him to get the trip. He said his mount ran very free over the first four and took time to settle, after which he allowed his mount time to creep into the race. He said his mount got a trouble free run down the inner in the home straight, but missed the last which he felt cost him third place. T.G.McCourt, confirmed the instructions given and expressed his satisfaction with the ride. He said his charge was bought to run over 6 and 7 furlongs on the flat and had disappointed prior to today. He stated that he had concerns that the animal would not stay the 2miles on his first run over hurdles today and felt his free running early on had left the rider with little option but to be off the pace for much of the race. He concluded by stating that his he was surprised at how well his charge ran considering how free he ran early on. The Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that Dollar Value was post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanations offered.

104B Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Mares) Mdn Hdl

The Stewards fined Peter Fahey, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Beechmount Maisie, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Beechmount Maisie in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90.

At the request of the Stewards, R.A. Doyle, rider of Sunrise Lady, trained by Conor O'Dwyer, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount momentarily got tight for room approaching the final bend.

104C Ballymaloe Relish Rated Novice H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Gipsy Lee Rose (FR), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

C.D. Maxwell, rider of Challow trained by T.G.McCourt, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

104E Examiner M'dn H'dle

The Stewards interviewed P.E. Corbett, rider of Jack Hackett, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that P.E. Corbett was in breach of Regulation 103(g) in that he had used his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended P.E. Corbett for 1 raceday.

T.N. Brett, rider of Antigua Son trained by William Coleman O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was out paced early on.

104F Buy Online @ Corkracecourse.ie Hcap Hdle

The Stewards interviewed S.W. Flanagan, rider of Cusp Of Carabelli, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that S.W. Flanagan was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g) in that he had used his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards cautioned S.W. Flanagan on this occasion.

P. Townend, rider of Call Of The Loon trained by D.J.Ryan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount did not travel possibly as a result of the ground.

R.M. Power, rider of Spoken For trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount felt lame and was pulled up.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Spoken For, trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame post race.

104G Ir.Stallion Farms EBF (M) INH Flat Race

At the request of the Stewards, Mr W.T. Cronin, rider of Yeats Joy, trained by John J. Walsh, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount stumbled and fell independently rounding the final bend for no apparent reason.

The Stewards interviewed Mr D.L. Queally, rider of Molly Wedger, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Mr. D.L. Queally was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g) in that he had used his whip excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards cautioned Mr. D.L. Queally on this occasion. Mr. M O'Driscoll, Acting Steward, was not present for this enquiry.

The Stewards interviewed Mr T. Feeney, rider of Sunndans, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Mr. T Feeney was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g) in that he had used his whip with excessive frequency and Regulation 10.3(h) in that he had failed to allow his mount sufficient time to respond to the whip. Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended Mr T. Feeney for 7 racedays. Mr. M. O'Driscoll, Acting Steward was not present for this enquiry.
