247A Mylerstown M'dn H'dle

E. O'Connell, rider of Jennings Lane trained by Augustine Leahy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages of this race involving English Pale, ridden by D.J. McInerney, placed third, Balinaboola Steel, ridden by C.D. Maxwell, placed second and Guitar George, ridden by K.C. Sexton, placed first, where it appeared that interference may have occured. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's placings and took no further action.

247B Irish Stallion Farms EBF H'cap H'dle

The Stewards interviewed C.D. Maxwell, rider of Drakaina, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found C.D. Maxwell to be in breach of regulation 10.4 in that he used his whip without giving his mount time to respond. Having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards suspended C.D. Maxwell for 1 raceday.

247C Kilsheelan (Mares) M'dn H'dle

The Stewards fined A.J. McNamara, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Clear View, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 87 and Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Clear View, as the animal had been vaccinated within 7 days of todays date.

247F Ir Stall Farms EBF Opportunity Hcap Hdle

The Stewards received a report from Mr. Liam Walsh, Turf Club Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that J.J. Slevin, rider of Theydon Park (GB), weighed in at 1.2 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that he suffered a fall in the fourth race and after weighing out for this race his hand became sore. His hand was then bandaged and he took a drink of water with painkillers. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that J.J. Slevin was in breach of Rule 231 and they therefore cautioned him regarding his future responsibilities in this regard.

247G Munster (Pro-Am) INH Flat Race

The Stewards fined Kieran Purcell, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of The Cow Man, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

The Stewards fined James M. Barcoe, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of By The Barrow, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

The Stewards interviewed Mr J.P. Berry, rider of Artic Quest, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr J.P. Berry was in breach of R10(3)(f) by using his whip with excessive frequency and therefore cautioned him having taken his clean previous record into consideration.
