The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

S.W. Flanagan rode Billy's Angel (reserve), trained by Adrian Murray (Race 5).
Mr. E. Mahon replaced Mr D. O'Connor on Kilchreest Moon, trained by Barry T. Murphy (Race 7)(family bereavement).

341A Clonmel M'dn H'dle

R.A. Doyle, rider of A Dos No Bueno (GB) trained by Conor O'Dwyer, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left throughout.

341B Powerstown H'cap H'dle

Under the provisions of Rule 90, the Stewards allowed Glenabo Bridge, trained by Oliver McKiernan, to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the error identified in the certification of vaccinations would be corrected in accordance with Rule 91 within the timeframe specified.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Whatsinthecorner, trained by John Joseph Hanlon, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Dontdooddson (FR), trained by Robert Tyner, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

341C Jim Strang & Sons Kilsheelan H'dle

D.N. Russell, rider of Westland Row trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got tired.

341D Adare Manor Opportunity H'cap H'dle

The Stewards interviewed L.P. Gilligan, rider of She's Made It, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that L.P. Gilligan was in breach of Regulation 10.3 (f) in that he used his whip with excessive frequency and Regulation 10.4 in that he failed to give his mount time to respond to the whip. Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended L.P. Gilligan for 4 racedays.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Pump Road, trained by Mark Michael McNiff, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards interviewed S.A. Mulcahy, rider of Shantou Sisu, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that S.A. Mulcahy was in breach of Regulation 10.3 (f) in that he had used his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended S.A. Mulcahy for 4 racedays.

The Stewards interviewed T. Ryan, rider of Crack On Corrie, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that T. Ryan was in breach of Regulation 10.3 (f) in that he had used his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended T. Ryan for 4 racedays.

The Stewards interviewed D.P. Holden, rider of Redwood Boy, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that D.P. Holden was in breach of Regulation 10.3 (f) in that he had used his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his record in this regard into account, the Stewards cautioned him on this occasion.

341E Clonmel Supporters Club Beginners S'ch

At the request of the Stewards, John J Fitzpatrick, rider of Chateauneuf Du Pap (GB), trained by Miss Ellmarie Holden, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was outpaced at the top of the hill and stayed on in the straight. .

341F Club Stand Restaurant H'cap S'chase

The Stewards enquired into an incident rounding the bend past the stands involving Milanesque, ridden by J.B. Kane and Burning Issues, ridden by A. Ring, where it appeared Milanesque ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the incident was accidental and took no further action.

The Stewards requested a report from Aengus King, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Capture The Drama, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that his charge appeared to appreciate the trip and ground and felt this had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form in what he felt was a moderate race. Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

R.A. Doyle, rider of Lacken Bridge trained by Colin Bowe, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran out at the second last for no apparent reason.

341G Next Meeting Jan 10th (QR) M'dn H'dle

The Stewards fined E. McNamara, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Three Queens, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Three Queens in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90.

The Stewards fined J.Motherway, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Dos Gardenias (FR), in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Dos Gardenias (FR) in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90.

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Castlebawn West, ridden by Mr P.W. Mullins, placed second and Spyglass Hill, ridden by Mr B. O'Neill, placed third, where it appeared Spyglass Hill ran short of room on the rail . Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Mr P.W. Mullins was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly. Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended Mr P. W. Mullins for 1 raceday.

Mr M.J. O'Connor, rider of James Eclipse trained by Thomas P. Cummins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was reluctant to jump off, never travelled and pulled up.
