The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Miss Sharon Dunphy, trainer of Time For Bucks (Passport lodged late) - €350

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

G. O'Sullivan replaced M.P. Burke on Realdealholyfield, trained by S.T.Nolan (Race 4)(Unwell)
M.A. Enright replaced D.N. Russell on Paddy O Dee (GB), trained by P.J. Rothwell (Race 6)(Injury)

328A Irish Stallion Farms EBF(Mares)M'dn H'dl

The Stewards interviewed P.J. Rothwell, trainer of Medimli, concerning the conduct of this horse in this race. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned. Medimli was examined by the Turf Club Veterinary Officer and found to be post-race normal. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards used their powers under Rule 14 (iiii) to suspend Medimli for sixty days.

328B Clonmel Rated H'dle

R.C. Colgan, rider of Noble Endeavor, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung left going to the second last hurdle.

328C Powerstown H'cap H'dle

P.T. Enright, rider of Backinyourbox trained by Edward Cawley, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly throughout.

D.N. Russell, rider of Leave At Dawn trained by C.Byrnes, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made mistakes but ultimately disappointed.

The Stewards enquired into an incident on the turn for home on the first circuit involving Leave At Dawn, ridden by D.N. Russell, and Backinyourbox, ridden by P.T. Enright, where it appeared D.N. Russell received a whip from P.T. Enright having lost his whip earlier in the race. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that D.N. Russell was in breach of Rule 272 and having taken his record in this regard into account suspended him for five race days. They furthermore found P. T. Enright in breach of Rule 272 and suspended him for five race days and ordered him to forfeit his riding fee.

A. Ring, rider of Noble Call, trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount is a keen sort and he settled him off the pace as he is a doubtful stayer and he ran on in the straight.

328D Martinstown Opportunity H'cap H'dle

Mrs Denise Foster, trainer of Simple Joys (GB), reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that her charge made a respiratory noise in-running.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Simple Joys (GB), trained by Mrs Denise Foster, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards enquired into the fall on the flat of All Honours, ridden by N.M. Kelly, in the back straight. A report was received from S.J. Cremin, rider, who stated that from his position it appeared that All Honours slipped up independently. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanation and took no further action.

328F Club Stand Restaurant H'cap S'chase

J.J. Burke, rider of Imperial Joey, trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount pulled up lame.

328G Next Meeting Feb 5th (QR)(C&G)M'dn H'dle

Mr J.W. O'Neill, rider of Lazy Bones, trained by Ronald O'Neill, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was never travelling.
