Clonmel 3rd September 2015

242A Mylerstown M'dn H'dle

The Stewards fined Gerard Keane, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Blueberry Flavour, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

242B Kilsheelan (Mares) M'dn H'dle

The Stewards requested a report from Michael Winters, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Perfect Woman, placed first, as compared with her previous run at Listowel 1st June. Michael Winters stated that this mare disappointed the last day at Listowel and no abnormalities were found post race. He added that he eased off in her training to allow her to freshen up following a sequence of runs. He further added that the heavy ground at Listowel did not suit her and was happy to run her today on good safe ground which she handled very well. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.

242C New Inn Opportunity M'dn H'dle

The Stewards enquired into an incident about two furlongs from the finish involving Cliffside Park, ridden by D. Meyler, placed second, Supreme Vinnie, ridden by B.R. Dalton, placed third and Rock N'Stones, ridden by C.A. Landers, unplaced, where it appeared Rock N'Stones ran out of room and had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the incident was caused by both D. Meyler and B.R. Dalton riding carelessly by allowing their mounts to move off a straight line and consequently suspended D. Meyler for 2 racedays having taken his previous record into consideration and also severely cautioned B.R. Dalton having taken his clean record into consideration.

242E Giantsgrave H'cap H'dle

J.B. Kane, rider of Zambezi Tiger trained by Garry Caldwell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made jumping mistakes and never let himself down to run.

242G Munster (Pro-Am) INH Flat Race

The Stewards fined Thomas Foley, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Seven Wonders (GB), in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.
