The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

Mr. E. P. O'Brien replaced Mr C.M. Healy on No Way Pedro, trained by Michael Butler (Race 7)(Injured)
Mr. J. Hart rode Jaksporter (reserve), trained by Francis J. Flood (Race 7)

356A Clonmel Supporters Club Beginners S'chse

The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Lean Araig, trained by Oliver McKiernan, for failing to comply with the provisions of Rule 90 (i), (late to present animal).

P.T. Enright, rider of Rocky Shores trained by David Harry Kelly, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Whereyounow trained by Rodger Sweeney, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a mistake at the second.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Cluan Dara, trained by John Patrick Ryan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

A. McCurtin, rider of Convara trained by T.Shanahan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped quickly.

John Patrick Ryan, trainer of Cluan Dara, reported to the Office of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board that his charge scoped wrong post race.

356C Irish Racing Industry Fundraiser Mdn Hdl

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Centurion Steel, trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

B. Hayes, rider of Coole Arcade trained by John O. Clifford, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped quickly on the ground.

K.M. Donoghue, rider of Deramore Park trained by Barry T. Murphy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made an abnormal respiratory noise in running.

356D Powerstown H'cap H'dle

C.D. Timmons, rider of Gray Duke trained by Edward Cawley, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly right.

The Stewards enquired into an incident at the second last involving Chalky White, ridden by B. Hayes, placed second, Resurrected Duke, ridden by Mr Pat Taaffe, faller, and Winston Wolfe, ridden by D.J. O'Keeffe, placed fourth, where it appeared that Resurrected Duke maneuvred towards the rail, taking the racing line of Chalky White, and subsequently clipping heels on landing and coming down. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found Mr. Pat Taaffe in breach of rule 214, in that he had ridden carelessly. Having considered Mr. Pat Taaffe's record in this regard the Stewards suspended him for three racedays.

At the request of the Stewards, F.J. Hayes, rider of Secret Cargo, trained by Philip Fenton, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount felt unbalanced on the ground and found very little in the straight.

356E Jim Strang & Sons Kilsheelan H'dle

P. Townend, rider of Burrows Saint (FR) trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got very tired.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Dallas Des Pictons (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Scarpeta (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

356G Next Meeting Jan 7th (QR) M'dn H'dle

Mr J.W. O'Neill, rider of Dalileo trained by Ronald O'Neill, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lost both front shoes in running.
