310A Cahir (Mares) M'dn H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Fort Worth Texas, trained by Colin Bowe, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

310B Cashel M'dn H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Automatic, trained by W.J. Burke, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard and also making an abnormal respiratory noise when examined post race.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Whatchamacallit trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien was found to have blood at both nostrils as a result of exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage.

D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Automatic trained by W.J. Burke, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled and got very tired after the second last.

D.N. Russell, rider of Goodbye Someday trained by John E. Kiely, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung a bit left throughout.

M.P. Walsh, rider of Whatchamacallit trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel.

S.D. Torrens, rider of Crutches Lad trained by William P Murphy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount overjumped the first and was playing catch up thereafter.

At the request of the Stewards, P.T. Enright, rider of Moscowsowhat, trained by James Daniel Dullea, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was flat out the whole way and he felt that he had done well to get it around.

310C Colm Hanly Mitsubishi Motors H'cap H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Arch Melody, trained by J. Morrison, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards interviewed A.P. Kelly, rider of Alice Johnston, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found A. P. Kelly in breach of Regulation 10.3 (g) frequency. Having considered A. P. Kelly's record in this regard the stewards cautioned him on this occasion.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Dont Go Mad, trained by C.Byrnes, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

L.P. Dempsey, rider of Persian Wind, trained by J.P.Dempsey, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount made a noise in running and was subsequently pulled up.

310F The Clonmel H'cap S'chase

D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Indian Music trained by W.J. Burke, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount pulled up lame.

The Stewards enquired into an incident approaching the second last fence involving Steer Clear, ridden by J.S. McGarvey, placed second and Kavanaghs Corner, ridden by Rachael Blackmore, placed first, where it appeared that J. S. McGarvey ran short of room and had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards gave Rachael Blackmore the benefit of the doubt and took no further action on this occasion.

T. Ryan, rider of De Bennette trained by James Grace, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made several bad mistakes.

310G Powerstown Demesne (QR) H'cap H'dle

Mr J.J. Codd, rider of Tiger Twenty Two (GB) trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung and did not handle the ground.

The Stewards received a report from Mr. Hugh Hynes, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that Mr J.W. Hannon, rider of Thats Mypresenting, weighed in at 1.5 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that this was the case. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Mr. J.W. Hannon was in breach of Rule 231 and they therefore cautioned him on this occasion.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages of this race involving She's Made It, ridden by Miss A.B. O'Connor, placed second and Robin Gold, ridden by Mr P.W. Mullins, placed first, where it appeared that Robin Gold drifted off a straight line and caused interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's placings and took no further action.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Tiger Twenty Two (GB), trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
