The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

R.P. Treacy replaced P.D. Kennedy on Skypunch (FR), trained by L.Young (Race 4)(injured)

037A Irish Stallion Farms EBF M'dn H'dle

The Stewards fined Declan Queally, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Uisce Solas, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Uisce Solas in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90.

M.A. Enright, rider of Honourbeforeglory trained by Eoin Griffin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was badly hampered by fallers, lost its action and was pulled up thereafter.

The Stewards attempted to enquire into an incident turning into the straight on the first circuit, involving Gracious Gamble, ridden by P.E. Corbett, unseated, Misshamrock, ridden by E.T. Daly, unseated and Try Dollys Sister, ridden by P.D. Kennedy, unseated, but were unable to do so as E.T. Daly was receiving medical attention. They did however, seek reports from both P.E. Corbett and P.D. Kennedy, who both confirmed that they were unavoidably unseated when Misshamrock sustained an injury and collided with them in running. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the incident was accidental and took no further action.

037C Coral Bet 5 Get 20 (Mares) H'cap H'dle

The Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Aunty Audrey, ridden by J.S. McGarvey, and trained by Patrick J.Flynn. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. J.S. McGarvey, stated that his mount is a very difficult type to settle and was wearing a hood today in an attempt to address this. He added that he was unseated prior to the start on her previous run and with this in mind his instructions were to settle his mount as early as possible, to give her plenty of light and to do the best he could. He said his mount took time to settle but jumped well throughout, travelled well early on but came off the bridle going up the hill on the final circuit. He said his mount ran on again down the hill and collided with another runner in the closing stages when laying down his challenge, in what he felt was a sign of greenness. He added that his mount stayed on strong in the closing stages and achieved her best possible position without having to use his whip. Patrick J.Flynn confirmed the instructions given and expressed his satisfaction with the ride. He outlined the difficulties settling this mare and stated that she wears a hood at home in an attempt to get her to relax. He further added that it was his intention to run her over both codes as she has won twice on the flat. The Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer, who stated that Aunty Audrey had a slight wound on the right hind fetlock, but was otherwise post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

037D Coral Double Your Winnings H'cap H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Pack Your Bags, trained by Robert Tyner, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race, to have spread his right fore shoe and to be lame post race.

P.T. Enright, rider of Pack Your Bags trained by Robert Tyner, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount pulled the right front shoe in running.

037F Coral Double Your Winnings H'cap S'chase

The Stewards interviewed Mr E. Mahon, rider of Capture The Drama, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr. E. Mahon was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g), in that he had used his whip with the arm above shoulder height. Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended him for 2 racedays.

037G Irish Stallion Farms EBF(M)INH Flat Race

The Stewards fined Patrick G.Kelly, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Hidden Sapphire, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Hidden Sapphire in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90.

The Stewards enquired from Mr. E.P. O'Brien, rider of Infinite Glory, who fell on the flat in the closing stages of this race. The rider reported that his mount stumbled and fell for no apparent reason. Having considered the report and viewed a recording of the incident, the Stewards took no further action.
