117C St. Patrick's Well M'dn H'dle

The Stewards requested a report from Denis Gerard Hogan, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Ridestan, placed first, as compared with its only previous run over hurdles. The trainer reported that having acquired this animal from another trainer he ran him in a hurdle race at Navan 29th March where the ground was very testing and proved difficult for his charge to handle. Since then his charge had strengthened up and was well suited to todays better ground conditions. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.

117D Nire Valley (Mares) H'cap H'dle

The Stewards received a report from Turf Club Starter, J.R. Banahan, that R.P. Treacy, rider of Kalico Kalista had disobeyed his instruction to remain walking towards the marker poles. Evidence was heard from the starter and rider concerned. Having viewed the recording of the incident and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that R.P. Treacy was in breach of Rule 208 and suspended him for 2 racedays having taken his previous record into consideration.
