The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

N.M. Kelly rode Eight And Bob (GB) (reserve), trained by W.P. Mullins (Race 2)
G.N. Fox rode Shimmer And Shine (reserve), trained by Peter Croke (Race 2)
R.P. Treacy replaced Mr D. O'Connor on Our Roxane, trained by David Kenneth Budds (Race 3)(unwell)
L.C. McKenna replaced S. Perry on Holy Motivation, trained by Gordon Elliott (Race 1)(see enquiry)

266A Mylerstown M'dn H'dle

The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Sizing Julie, trained by J.J.Lambe, for failing to lodge the passport in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90 (i).

The Stewards received a report from Mr. P.L. Malone, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that S. Perry, rider of Holy Motivation, had attempted to weigh out at 4 lbs overweight, none of which was declared. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that this was the case. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that S. Perry was in breach of Rule 198(vii) and having considered his record in this regard, they suspended him for 3 racedays. Furthermore, the Stewards allowed a request to substitute S. Perry with L.C. McKenna.

J.P. O'Sullivan, rider of Miss Echrad trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount slipped, lost its action and was pulled up thereafter.

266B Giantsgrave H'cap H'dle

The Stewards enquired into the falls of Whoyakodding (GB) ridden by S,A. Shortall, Carrigaloe ridden by E.T. Daly and Island Villa ridden by T. Ryan having left the back straight. S.A. Shortall reported that his mount slipped and fell independently, E.T. Daly reported that his mount was brought down by a faller and T. Ryan reported that his mount was also brought down by a faller. Having considered all the evidence, the Stewards noted the content of the reports.

266C Kilsheelan (Mares) M'dn H'dle

Under the provisions of Rule 90 (iv), the Stewards allowed Our Roxane, trained by David Kenneth Budds, to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the horse was correctly vaccinated in accordance with Rule 91.

A. McCurtin, rider of Coillte Eile trained by Ms. Debbie Hartnett, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount slipped up on the bend on two occasions.

266D Irish Stallion Farms EBF H'cap H'dle

The Stewards requested a report from Miss Elizabeth Doyle, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Glamorous Nellie, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that her charge appeared to appreciate the first time application of blinkers and felt this had helped bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Boris Grishenko trained by Gordon Elliott was found to be lame on the left fore post race.

266E New Inn Opportunity Rated Novice H'dle

Under the provisions of Rule 90 (iv), the Stewards allowed Licklighter, trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the horse was correctly vaccinated in accordance with Rule 91.

266F Lisronagh Opportunity H'cap H'dle

Under the provisions of Rule 90 (iv), the Stewards allowed My Betty, trained by Peter Croke, to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the horse was correctly vaccinated in accordance with Rule 91.

A.W. Short, rider of My Betty trained by Peter Croke, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left.

266G Munster (Pro-Am) INH Flat Race

The Stewards interviewed E.T. Daly, rider of Vic's Little Miss, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3.(f) in that he had used his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended E.T. Daly for 1 raceday.
