The Stewards received a report from Turf Club Starter,P.F. Graffin, that M.J. Bolger, rider of Ciankyle, A. McCurtin, rider of D'nailor, B. Hayes, rider of Secrets Safe, P.T. Enright, rider of Lady Of Portlairge and M.P. Burke, rider of Millen Dollar Man had attempted to start without being instructed to do so which led to a false start being called. Evidence was heard from the starter and riders concerned. Having viewed the video recording of the incident, heard the audio recording and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the 5 named riders were in breach of Rule 208 by failing to comply with the starters instructions and having taken the previous records of the riders into consideration they suspended M.J. Bolger and B. Hayes for 2 racedays and A. McCurtin, P.T. Enright and M.P. Burke for 1 raceday .

142G Ir Stallion Farms EBF (M) INH Flat Race

The Stewards enquired into an incident along the top of the track involving The Bay Birch, ridden by Mr J.C. Barry, unplaced and Yes Pat, ridden by Mr P.A. King, slipped up. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards accepted that the unseating of Mr P.A King was caused independently and took no further action.

The Stewards enquired into an incident across the top of the track involving Aunt Berry, ridden by Ms K. Walsh, unseated rider, Robyn Belle, ridden by Mr D.L. Queally, placed second and Silver Shot, ridden by Mr C.J. Shine, unplaced, where it appeared that Aunt Berry received interference which resulted in the rider being unseated. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the unseating of Ms K. Walsh was caused by Mr C.J. Shine riding carelessly and therefore suspended him for 7 racedays.

The Stewards interviewed Mr C.J. Shine, rider of Silver Shot, concerning his use of the whip in the last three furlongs of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr C.J. Shine was in breach of R10(3)(b) by continuously using his whip after his chance of winning or being placed was clearly gone and therefore suspended him for 2 racedays and further ordered him to attend R.A.C.E for one days tuition on the correct use of the whip.
