The Stewards fined the following trainers in respect of their non-runners:-

P.J.Prendergast, trainer of War Hero (Declared in error) - €200
Joseph Patrick O'Brien, trainer of Calorific (Vaccinations demonstrably incorrect) - €350.

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

W.M. Lordan replaced C.P. Hoban on Dandy Sue, trained by Gerard Keane (Race 4)(Injured)
Mr. C.J. Orr rode Charlotte's Chum (reserve) , trained by Gordon Elliott (Race 8)
A.C. Persse replaced C.P. Hoban on Gameasapebble, trained by F.Costello (Race 5)(injured).
D.G. Hogan replaced L.P. Dempsey on Sam King, trained by T.M. Walsh (Race 6)(injured).
D.N. Russell replaced L.P. Dempsey on Persian Wind, trained by J.P.Dempsey (Race 8)(Injured)

171B Hibernia Steel Products Claiming Race

D.E. Hogan, rider of Scobias (GB) trained by G. Webb, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left.

171C Irish Mirror M'dn

C.T. Keane, rider of Patrice's Wish (GB) trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount reared up leaving the stalls.

171D Meath Farm Machinery H'cap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Catwilldo, trained by Garvan Donnelly, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

171F Seamus Mulvaney Crockafotha H'cap H'dle

C.D. Maxwell, rider of Commander Won trained by Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount flattened out before turning in for home.

The Stewards requested a report from Henry de Bromhead, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Babbling Stream (GB), placed first, as compared with its recent form. Mr. Alan Coady, authorised representative of Henry de Bromhead, reported that his charge's previous run over two miles was a bit sharp, and the longer distance today in addition to the first time application of a tongue strap explained the improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

171H Anglo Printers Irish EBF H'cap H'dle

R.A. Doyle, rider of Rockview Emperor trained by N Dooly, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got a bump and pulled up.
