The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

John C. McConnell, trainer of Orgilgo Bay (Declared in Error) - €320

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

K.M. Donoghue rode Askance (GB) (reserve) , trained by Thomas Coyle (Race 1)
R.T. Dunne rode Ventura Boulevard (reserve) , trained by S.J.Mahon (Race 1)
L.P. Dempsey replaced J.M. Moore on Misskymdee, trained by S.J.Mahon (Race 2)(Injury)
D.J. Mullins replaced J.M. Moore on Go Another One, trained by John C. McConnell (Race 5)(Injury)
C.A. Landers replaced J.M. Moore on Freedom Statue, trained by S.J.Mahon (Race 4)(Injury)

R.M. Power, rider of Papal Motel trained by Andrew McNamara, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was badly hampered at the first hurdle, losing all chance and pulled up.

The Stewards enquired into an incident leaving the back straight involving Shinghari, ridden by D.G. Hogan, Love The Well, ridden by A. Ring, and Silver Star (FR), ridden by D.F. O'Regan, where it appeared Love The Well ran short of room on the inner and checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found D.F. O'Regan in breach of Rule 214 by riding carelessly and having taken his previous good record into consideration the Stewards cautioned him.

239C Byrne Marquees H'cap H'dle

The Stewards fined David Peter Dunne, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Pretty Little Liar, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

239D At The Races Mullacurry Cup H'cap H'dle

D.N. Russell, rider of Jarob (GB) trained by Andrew Lynch, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was badly hampered with a circuit to go.

Patrick Griffin, trainer of Heist, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge wants a further trip

239E Bluegrass Horse Feeds M'dn H'dle

D.J. Mullins, rider of Go Another One trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped poorly.

239F Hibernia Steel Products H'cap H'dle

The Stewards received a report from Mr. W. Fleming , Turf Club Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that C.D. Timmons , rider of Nobody Home , weighed in at 1.6 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that he took a little water after weighing out which may have contributed to weighing-in overweight. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that C.D. Timmons was in breach of Rule 231 and they therefore suspended him for two race days.

C.A. Landers, rider of Aunt Alice trained by Michael J. Bowe, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount pulled up injured.

M.P. Walsh, rider of Travertine, trained by Niall Madden, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount never travelled.

239G Woods Financial (Ladies)(P-Am) Flat Race

The Stewards interviewed Ms L. O'Neill, rider of Youghal By The Sea, concerning her use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg 10 3. (f) by using her whip with excessive frequency and having taken her good record into account suspended her for one race day.
