The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

J.W. Kennedy replaced D.F. O'Regan on Water Sprite, trained by Gordon Elliott (Race 3)(Intended mount a non runner)
D.F. O'Regan rode Dancing Duke (reserve) , trained by S.J.Mahon (Race 5)
D.J. Mullins replaced B.J. Cooper on Crocodile Dundee, trained by Thomas Cooper (Race 6)(Injured)

127A Tuam Herald M'dn H'dle

R.M. Power, rider of Licklighter trained by Patrick G.Kelly, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly and sustained a cut to the inside of his off foreleg.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Licklighter, trained by Patrick G.Kelly, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have sustained a flesh wound to his right fore fetlock and a second minor wound to his left fore fetlock.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Balkalin (FR), trained by Emmet Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame post race.

J.W. Kennedy, rider of Hurricane Volta trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled throughout this race.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Hurricane Volta, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be stiff behind post race.

127B Sheridan Electric H'dle

S.W. Flanagan, rider of April Shadow trained by David Harry Kelly, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly left before being pulled up.

127C Monroe's Live (Mares) H'cap H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Flaviana trained by Mrs John Harrington was found post race to have pulled a right fore shoe.

127D Mercedez-Benz Sligo & Galway H'cap H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Guido Reni, trained by Karl Thornton, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have made an abnormal respiratory noise when examined post race and was distressed.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Molten Gold (GB), at the request of trainer, Sean Aherne, and reported the animal to be distressed post race having over heated.

Mrs Prunella Dobbs, trainer of Well Joey, reported to the Office of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board that her charge had a wind operation since his last run at Worcester on 27th June last. .

127E Tim Kelly Group H'cap H'dle

The Stewards fined Mrs. Y. Dunleavy, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Bomber Jackson, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Bomber Jackson in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90 (iv).

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Loupgarou (FR), trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard and was distressed post race having over heated.

R.M. Power, rider of Loupgarou (FR) trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount travelled well early on but stopped quickly.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Eiri Na Casca trained by Denis Gerard Hogan was found post race to have pulled his right hind shoe.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Grandma Dotty trained by Mrs. Y. Dunleavy was found to have blood at the right nostril and to be lame on her left fore as a result of her fall in this race.

127F Bank of Ireland H'cap S'chase

The Stewards interviewed R.C. Colgan, rider of Rocky Court, concerning his use of the whip from the last fence to the winning post. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that R.C. Colgan was in breach of R10(4) by failing to give his mount time to respond to the whip. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended R.C. Colgan for 3 racedays. Mr. Justice Raymond Groarke absented himself from this enquiry and Mr. Derek Pugh acted as Chairman.

C. Brassil, rider of Draycott Place trained by John Patrick Ryan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was crossed going to the last fence and checked.

127G Irish Stallion Farms EBF (M) Flat Race

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that The Princetonian trained by Mrs John Harrington was found post race to have pulled her left fore shoe.
