The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Paul Stafford, trainer of Stander (transport difficulties) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

D.F. O'Regan replaced M.A. Enright on Carole Rose, trained by Liam Casey (Race 4)(injured)

240A Adare Manor Opportunity M'dn H'dle

Under the provisions of Rule 90 (iii), the Stewards allowed Bluegrass Princess, trained by Eamonn O'Connell, to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the horse was correctly vaccinated in accordance with Rule 91.

The Stewards enquired into an incident the closing stages involving Chosen Flower, ridden by J.P. O'Sullivan and Milomynit, ridden by D. Robinson, where it Milomynit ran short of room on the rail and was checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that J.P. O'Sullivan was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly. Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended J.P. O'Sullivan for 3 racedays.

C.A. Landers, rider of Disco Musik (FR) trained by Michael J. McDonagh, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was carried wide by a loose horse before the last hurdle.

240B Eamon Sheridan Groundworks H'cap H'dle

Under the provisions of Rule 90 (iii), the Stewards allowed Masterstonemason, trained by F.Costello, to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the horse was correctly vaccinated in accordance with Rule 91.

The Stewards received a report from Mr. P.L. Malone, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that J.S. McGarvey, rider of Banjo, weighed in at 1.4 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that this was the case. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that J.S McGarvey was in breach of Rule 231 and having considered his clean record, they issued a caution on this occasion.

P. Townend, rider of Fiesole (GB) trained by Eoin Doyle, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount struggled from early on.

240C David Heneghan Memorial H'cap H'dle

Under the provisions of Rule 90 (iii), the Stewards allowed A Place Apart, trained by Gavin Cromwell, to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the horse was correctly vaccinated in accordance with Rule 91.

R.C. Colgan, rider of Makeyourcall trained by Edward Cawley, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount gurgled and was pulled up thereafter.

240D Corrib Oil H'cap H'dle

Rachael Blackmore, rider of Directional (GB) trained by Eoin Christopher McCarthy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her mount went lame after jumping the last and was pulled up thereafter.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Directional (GB), trained by Eoin Christopher McCarthy, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame on the left fore post race.

240E Hollymount Nursing Home S'chase

The Stewards interviewed Ms. S. Kavanagh, rider of Coolnagorna Giggs, concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that Ms. S. Kavanagh was in breach of Regulation 10.3(c), in that she had used her whip unnecessarily, having cleary obtained her maximum placing. Having considered her previous record in this regard, the Stewards issued a caution on this occasion.

240F Calor Gas Beginners S'chase

R.C. Colgan, rider of Artical Eleven trained by D.McNamara, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left and was pulled up thereafter.

240G Ir. Stallion Farms EBF (F) INH Flat Race

Under the provisions of Rule 90 (iii), the Stewards allowed Gypsy Island, trained by Peter Fahey, to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the horse was correctly vaccinated in accordance with Rule 91.
