The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

W.M.Lordon rode Forever Scotland (reserve) , trained by P.J.Prendergast (Race 2)

C. O'Donoghue, rider of Navegante (GB) trained by John Joseph Murphy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount finished lame.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Navegante (GB), trained by John Joseph Murphy, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame on the near fore post race.

S.B. Kelly, rider of Maknificent trained by M.D. O'Callaghan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lost her action and was pulled up.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Maknificent, trained by M.D. O'Callaghan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be coughing post race.(samples taken for analysis).

M.D. O'Callaghan, trainer of Maknificent, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge was found to have burst blood vessels on endoscopic examination.

R. Coakley, rider of Indy Gal trained by Patrick Martin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was struck into behind in running.

The Stewards received a report from Mick King, Turf Club security officer, in relation to the observation of a syringe in the stable of the winner, Ruler Of France, trained by P. Twomey. Evidence was heard from Mick King who explained that he noticed the syringe while escorting the winner to the Veterinary officer for sampling. Evidence was heard from Mr. Terry Smyth, Senior turf club veterinary officer, who confirmed that the syringe in question was prohibited in the stable yard, in that it is not a bulb syringe. Evidence was also heard from P.Twomey who stated that he was unaware of the particular Reguation in relation to syringe's. Having considered the report, the Stewards were of the opinion that the trainer was in breach of Regulation 9, in that he had a dosing syringe in the stable yard, without informing the Turf club veterinary officer and having considered his record in this regard,fined him €500.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Elusive In Paris, trained by M.C. Grassick, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have a sore right fore shin post race.

R. Coakley, rider of Indy Gal trained by Patrick Martin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was struck into behind in running.

154D Vaughanshoes.ie EBF M'dn

F.M. Berry, rider of Bold Bid trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount received interference and ran out of racing room in the back straight.

154E Vaughanshoes.ie EBF (Fillies) H'cap

R.P. Cleary, rider of Queen Of Alba, trained by Thomas Cleary, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount lost her action in the back straight and was eased.

F.M. Berry, rider of Just Soldier (FR) trained by I.Madden, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right in running.
